Role: Concept + Design + Animation

The imposing Samsung out-of-home LED board has defined the visual heart of Toronto since it’s launch in the summer of 2014. This eye-catching centre-point of Yonge and Dundas Square showcased the latest in products, promotions, and seasonal campaigns. Toronto events and experiences were also broadcast, including NXNE (North by Northeast), Toronto Buskerfest, and TIFF.

As part of the Samsung board’s rebrand in the spring of 2016, a new dynamic widget was added to display the current time, short-term weather forecasts, seasonal messaging, and amber alerts.

Installed and operated by Branded Cities Network (Clear Channel Canada at the time) the Samsung board was Canada’s largest outdoor LED billboard, recently second to only the CF Toronto Eaton Centre Digital Tower (also operated by BCN). Samsung was the exclusive advertiser for several years and now entertains other clients.
